Dr. Rekha Penmetcha

Dr. Rekha Penmetcha, also referred to as “Dr. Rekha” by her patients, is a board-certified pediatric dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care for children of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine. Following her dental education, Dr. Rekha completed her pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone, where she served as chief resident, gaining invaluable expertise in treating young patients.

Her passion for working with children began long before her dental career. While growing up in New Jersey, Dr. Rekha served as an assistant teacher at her local dance school, where she discovered her love for working with kids and helping them build confidence. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry, where she could continue making a positive impact on children's lives, particularly those with fears and anxieties related to healthcare settings.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Rekha holds hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital (LGH), allowing her to safely provide dental treatment in a hospital setting when necessary. Dr. Rekha is committed to making every child's dental visit a safe, fun, and positive experience. She strives to create an environment where children feel comfortable and excited about their dental care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rekha loves to unwind with a good book. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and trying exciting cuisines from different cultures. Her most precious moments are spent discovering the world through the curious and joyful eyes of her young son Rehaan. These experiences outside of work keep her energized and passionate about both her personal and professional life.
